    You will be introduced to the theory, environments and equipment essential for audio engineering. Practical work around the recording and mixing process will be explored allowing you to develop techniques and workflows.
  • Year 2
    You will progress through to more complex environments allowing you to focus your skills in the studio. Practical work in the area of post-production for film and television is introduced to open up a variety of other opportunities.
  • Year 3
    Your skills will continue to develop in your third-year honours project which will become the centrepiece of your portfolio and should reflect the area of audio engineering in which you plan to specialise.

Location & Teaching

You will study at our Riverside Campus, located in the centre of Manchester. As part of your course, some of your lessons may take place at our filming facility, Futureworks Studios located in MediaCityUK, a few miles from the city centre.

All programmes are managed by a dedicated Programme Leader and team of experienced tutors.
