A few of the many reasons to
study at Futureworks…

Encouraging collaboration of skills and perspectives
Fostering a creative community

At Futureworks, we pride ourselves on promoting a vibrant and interconnected creative community through our three main schools: the School of Art & Design, the School of Sound & Music Production, and the School of Film, Television & Media.

Similar to how global creative communities overlap and collaborate to create films, games, and music, our students are encouraged to do the same. By working together across all three of our schools, Futureworks students learn important people and communication skills, which are vital when they graduate into a career in the creative industries.

Providing a high quality vocational education
Ever-evolving to industry

Futureworks has maintained its specialist creative mentality and proven itself adaptable and agile, rapidly responding to a swiftly evolving and changing industry. By continuing to work with tutors who are practising industry professionals, investing wisely in new technology, and nurturing a proactive industry advisory group, Futureworks has flourished into a thriving creative community and a respected provider of higher education in the UK and beyond.

What is life like as a Futureworks Student?

“I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Futureworks, pursuing a degree in Visual Effects. It was filled with intense learning, creativity, and countless hours developing my skill set. The tutors were always helpful and ready to go out of their way to give extra guidance when needed. Over the course of the degree, I feel I developed a strong set of connections. I was honoured to win an award at the end of my course and managed to secure a great industry job”

Manchester

Manchester has a huge student population (over 85,000!) so there is no shortage of things to do and places to go. Many businesses offer a student discount and there are deals, events, experiences and nights out specifically catered for students.

Support

Student Services are here to help you every step of the way. From the moment you accept your course offer, to the magical moment at Graduation, we’re here to help if you need support whilst you are studying.

Community

Working alongside our Student Partners, Futureworks puts on a range of social events throughout the year, starting with School socials, the Welcome Fair and other activities during Welcome Week, all the way through to end of term socials, campaigns and extracurricular sessions.

“Futureworks has provided me with both a professional and evaluative environment led by some of the most knowledgeable tutors I’ve come across, who all had roots in the industry. With their advice and support, not only was I able to grow, but with the training I was equipped with, managed to find a job right after graduating.”
