Working alongside our Student Partners, Futureworks puts on a range of social events throughout the year, starting with School socials, the Welcome Fair and other activities during Welcome Week, all the way through to end of term socials, campaigns and extracurricular sessions.
Over the years our students have set up a range of clubs and societies based on their interests and passions, and we actively encourage and support students to set up new groups. Past societies and events have included film screenings, table-top games and animation clubs as well as support groups such as the LGBTQ+ society.
All of our clubs and societies are student-led, so if you find that a group doesn’t exist or is no longer running, why not start it yourself? Get in touch with our Student Services department and we’ll help you arrange any facilities and resources you need, as well as give you a hand advertising it to other students.
Our Student Partners have also been a driving force behind several campaigns over the years, such as End Period Poverty, Spiking Awareness and collecting for local food banks. Working together they have helped to raise awareness of these issues and improve life not just for students at Futureworks but for the wider community.
As well as socials, we also run engaging events designed to help you grow in your respective fields, such as Game Jams and film challenges
