The first thing you can expect at a Futureworks Open Day is a warm welcome from the students, staff, and tutors who embody our friendly creative community.
On arrival, Futureworks students will take you on a tour of our facilities, answer any questions you may have, and put you at ease. After all, they were once in your shoes and understand how overwhelming, as well as exciting, an Open Day visit can be.
All our Open Days run between noon and 4:00pm, and you can arrive whenever you like. If you’re interested in our schools of Art & Design or Audio & Music Production, then our Riverside Campus is where you need to go. If you’re interested in Film, Television and Media courses, firstly visit our studio in Media City. You’ll meet helpful tutors and students, tour our film production studio, get hands-on experience with the latest filmmaking equipment, and interact with studio sets and our green screen studio – the largest in the north of England. Afterwards, head to our Riverside Campus for more facilities and further post-production equipment.
During your tours, you’ll have the opportunity to meet tutors from various courses across our schools of Art & Design, Sound & Music Production, and Film, Television & Media. They’re just as eager to meet you as you are to meet them. They’ll provide detailed insights into our courses and encourage you to ask questions. You’ll also get to try out some of the equipment, explore the facilities, and view current and past student work. Students from various courses will also be present, ready to share their first-hand experiences of studying at Futureworks.
After the tour, our knowledgeable student services team will be available to address any questions you may have about the application process, financial aid, accommodation, and other support services. They have a wealth of information for you to take away, helping you make an informed decision. You can grab a drink, pick up Futureworks goodies, and chat with other visitors, staff, and students. If you prefer a quieter space, we have areas where you can relax and soak in the atmosphere.
