I want to warmly welcome all our new and returning students, and I send you my best for a successful and creative year ahead. Also, a warm welcome back to our dedicated staff and tutors, who are ready to inspire and educate you with the knowledge and professional skills you’ll need for a rewarding creative career, and our facilities and student services teams, who are on hand to support you through the year ahead.
It is the start of the new academic year at Futureworks and yet another opportunity to maintain and improve on the high standards awarded to us by our students in the recent National Students Survey and, earlier in the year, from the Teaching Excellence Framework panel.
Enrolment week is always an exciting, busy and eventful start to the year for our new students. You’ll be enrolling in your course, meeting your tutors and fellow students, and attending the various socials and events we have planned. I hope you find them useful, engaging, and fun as you start your educational journey with us. All details have been provided in your Enrolment Pack, but if you’re unsure when and where to go, follow us on Instagram or Facebook for regular posts or call us on 0161 214 4600.
We have a student social at the end of each of our school’s enrolment days and several events open to new and returning students alike. On Friday, you can meet our UCLan partners, receive a guided tour of Manchester, attend our Welcome Fair, and finally break the ice over a few beers at our Student Social in the Kings Arms. Again, monitor our social media channels or ask our Student Services Team when you enrol for information.
To our returning students, thank you for awarding Futureworks so highly in the National Students Survey; your feedback is crucial to our continued improvement and is greatly appreciated. Hopefully, you’ve enjoyed a restful and reinvigorating summer and are prepared for another intense year of learning. It’s always inspiring to see how much your creativity and skills have evolved, especially those of you entering your final year and starting your honours projects. It is a very exhilarating and passionate time when all your hard work and learning pays off, and I’m excited to see what will be produced over the coming months as you all head toward your graduation.
Finally, to all our students, we want you to know that we’re here for you every step of the way. Whether it’s your coursework, access to equipment and services, accommodation, or health and wellbeing, we’ve got your back. Your success is our success, and we’re committed to supporting you as you embark on or continue your educational journey with Futureworks.
