It’s that time of year when we join to celebrate the hard work, skill, talent and toil of our Art & Design graduates at Hemsley House in Salford, Manchester.
After three years of dedicated learning and honing their craft under the guidance of our esteemed team of industry professional tutors led by the Head of School Ken Lau, our graduating third-year students are ready to showcase their creativity at our School of Art & Design Degree Show, a testament to their hard work and accomplishment.
What to expect at the show
With their third-year honours projects as centrepieces, sitting alongside their other proud projects, students from all our Art & Design degree courses will showcase an incredible collection of creativity. Expect to see breathtaking industry-ready illustrations and artful animation from Futureworks BA (Hons) Digital Animation with Illustration students. Get hands-on with artfully addictive games lovingly crafted by our BA (Hons) Games Design students and prepare to be amazed by the superb 3D and 2D art skills of students from our BA (Hons) Game Art degree.
The show is a rich, industry-ready collection of work by enthusiastic graduates ready to embark upon a creative career in art & design. It’s your opportunity to meet with them, share their success and enjoy their work.
“The Art & Design degree show is always a highlight for me.” Says Ken Lau, “The students have worked so hard over their final year, so it’s a fantastic opportunity for them to proudly show off their projects to friends, family and, of course, our industry guests. I do my best to speak to all students’ families because the show is as important for them as it is for the students, and we also want them to know how proud we are of our students at Futureworks.”
The show is a celebration of creativity and is open to all. We invite you to join us on June 21st at Hemsley House, 41 The Crescent, Salford. The show is open between 5:30pm and 9:00pm.
We’re looking forward to sharing this special event with you by welcoming you with a glass of Prosecco and a plethora of talent.
In the meantime, take a look at some of our students’ work in our online gallery. You can also visit our Art & Design School Artstation page which hosts showreels of student work and also provides links to the Artstation pages of past graduates who are now active in industry.
