From January the 26th through to the 28th, Futureworks hosted, the annual Global Game Jam for the 3rd time.
In 2021 the Global Game Jam challenge was accepted by a single student. This year it’s grown into a mass-participation event, spanning courses throughout the University and encompassing over 30 students!
So many students dedicated their all to creating a game around the theme of “Make me laugh”, and the ideas had participants and tutors laughing out loud at the games that were dreamt up.
Games developed over the Game Jam weekend were: Rib Ticklem, Funny Dancing Game, Wekea, Guy Johnson, Elot Adventure and Day at the Carnival.
“It’s a wonderful celebration of our students’ abilities under the pressure of a 48-hour deadline, and I couldn’t be happier with their results. “
Ken Lau – Head of School for Art & Design
Well done everyone!
