On the 9th November we celebrated the success of our fantastic students at this year’s Futureworks 2023 Graduation ceremony. It’s always a wonderful event, a chance for our staff and graduates to catch up and for friends and family to see some of the excellent work that’s been produced, and celebrate their achievements.
Futureworks is proud to be different to other Higher Education providers, and our graduation ceremony follows suit. Whilst we have many of the traditional aspects of a graduation ceremony – walking across the stage to collect your award, having your photograph taken in a cap and gown – we also differ in that we really focus on the achievements and hard work of our graduates.
The evenings proceedings are interspersed with showreels of work from the graduating class – clips of music and films, games and animations, artwork and behind-the-scenes videos. We are so proud of the work that our students do, and it’s amazing to be able to share that with the people who have supported them throughout their time with us.
As well as enjoying all of the work being shown, everyone was of course thrilled to be able to applaud each of our graduates as they crossed the stage to collect their certificates and shake hands with the tutors who have guided them on their journey. It’s always a very proud moment for everyone, and it’s lovely to hear the support from each class as they celebrate each other’s successes.
All of our 2023 graduates have worked incredibly hard and achieved so much during their time with us, and a truly special part of the night was handing out awards to those who accomplished some particularly exceptional work.
As well as saying congratulations to our graduates and wishing them luck in the future, we would also like to thank everyone who works so hard to make these events so special and successful. From our brilliant photographer Ian Wallis who captures all those special moments, to the wonderful staff at RNCM for hosting us and providing help and support on the night.
We hope that our graduates and everyone who came to support them had a wonderful night, and want to reaffirm that we are still here to support them even as they take this next step. We love to keep in touch with everyone as they move forward in their careers, and our Alumni Network is here to help everyone stay connected. If any of our graduates ever need advice or support in their endeavours we will do our best to help, check out our Alumni Resources for more information. As we always say – you may not be a Futureworks student anymore, but you will always be a part of the family.
