Graduate Profile – Matty Singh, Editor and Producer
After graduating from our School of Film, Television and Media in 2012, Matty Singh spent five years producing, directing and editing video content for Manchester United, before moving to Sammon Media as a senior editor. Sammon specialise in the car commercial and motorsport world. Here he sent an incredible year travelling to places like Oman, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain as an on-site editor, creating supercar content for private clients…basically private films for very rich folks to make top gear type promos of their cars going round F1 circuits! Matty also went to the states for a week to cover a road trip for McLaren owners as they drove through some awesome roads in Utah and Arizona.
In November last year he became a freelance editor and has since worked on projects for Betway, ITV Racing, BT Sport and Copa90.
In addition he has become an editor and producer for Dead Pixel Films, a creative commercial video production company based in Manchester working with a range of international clients.
They handle video production from concept through production to delivery working alongside marketing teams, creative agencies, broadcasters, charities and brands and specialise in sports, fashion, adventure and retail content, including content for Asda, Vincero Watches, GoNutrition and Beaverbrooks among others.
Matt also finds time to create the highly entertaining Creative Scramble podcast which interviews professionals within the creative industries. Each interview focuses on the reality of life within the industries and provides great tips on how to start out, develop and make a success of your career. It’s essential listening for anyone interested in a career in the creative industries. And from time to time, fellow Futureworks Alumni turn up on the podcast to explain how they transitioned into successful industry professionals.
