Graduate Profile – Ben Cozens, Studio Director, Dustless Digital
Ben Cozens, BA (Hons) Music Production alumni is receiving well-deserved accolades for his sound design work on the short film, The Blues Crab.
He has picked up a Gold at December’s Queen Palm Film festival for Best Sound Design in a Short Film in addition to Best Combined use of Sound and Music at the Short Sounds Film Festival.
At the Short Sounds ceremony, Ben said he was “blown away” by Ray Beckett (The Hurt Locker recordist) complimenting him on his work!
The film has also received an ‘Honorable Mention’ at the Mediterranean Film Festival, Cannes 2018 and many other festival awards. A full roll of honour can be seen below.

After graduating from Futureworks in 2014 with a first class Bachelor’s Degree in Music Production Ben set up his own successful sound design and music specialist studio called Dustless Digital Audio. Dustless provides audio for TV, Radio, Film, Internet, Game and all music platforms. From singular sound effects through to full film scores, Dustless has worked on projects with clients like the BBC, Universal, Lucasfilm and Disney.
