Game of Thrones star
recording at Futureworks

Anton Lesser, famous for his roles as Qyburn in Game of Thrones and Thomas More in Wolf Hall, dropped into Futureworks recently.

The respected Shakespearian actor had an appointment with ADR assistant and Futureworks BSc (Hons) Audio Engineering & Production alumni Tavish Cross to record a narration role in our dialogue studio. It is for a Falsetooth Films short currently in production called Tick Tick Tick

Tavish was covering for audio tutor Martyn Ellis who is part of the crew for the forthcoming film. This is a great example of how our students often get great opportunities to work on live projects because our tutors are active in the creative industries.

It’s been a busy summer since Tavish graduated with a first. During August he was working as a stage recordist for the main stage at the Bloodstock Open Air festival, capturing a multitrack feed from the stage. He was working as part of a team at the festival that included fellow Futureworks alumni Rian Gamble and Adam Briffa. The team are pictured here.

And throughout the year, Tavish has also been racking up some impressive IMDB sound department credits for TV drama, including Bancroft, Warren, The OA and Ackley Bridge. Hopefully your excellent year will continue, even as winter is coming.
