Next Open Day
Date: Saturday 18th August 2018
Time: 12pm – 4pm
We’re very proud of our school, and we’d love the chance to show it off to you. Of course, the Open Day is not just about amazing equipment, it’s also the perfect chance to speak to tutors and staff about the courses themselves, how they will work for you and how to become a Futureworks student.
Thinking about studying Games, Animation, Sound Engineering or Music Production?
At our Riverside Open Day, we’re here to make sure you get fully acquainted with our tutors, facility and courses. We have admissions staff and tutors on hand to answer any questions you may have, as well as showcasing some of the fantastic work our students produce. If you have questions about where each course might lead you, we offer advice on career pathways and opportunities available to you upon graduation.
Once you have been introduced to some of our tutors, you will be taken on a guided tour of our facilities, where you will get to see some live demonstrations hosted by some of our students – this gives you a taster of the environment you will be working in.
After the tour you may have further questions to ask us, or even feel you are ready to apply, in which case we can talk you through the application process and answer any additional queries you might have.
The Open Day runs from 12pm – 4pm, and you can drop in at any time. There is no need to book ahead, we have the staff and set-up to accommodate a large amount of people and we encourage people to bring family and friends along too.
If you’re unable to make our next event, don’t worry – we have Open Days throughout the year. If you don’t want to wait for the next one please call us to arrange your personal tour.
If you need any assistance or more information, just call one of our team on 0161 214 4600 or drop us an email. We will be happy to help.

New Bailey Street
Tel: 0161 214 4600
Note: Sat Nav users may wish to use the postcode M3 5EU instead, for easier location of the campus.
Futureworks’ entrance is located just next door to Caffe Nero on New Bailey Street, which is next to the small Tesco. We’re directly opposite the recently developed New Bailey complex. There’s meter parking right outside our entrance, and also across the street and round the side of our campus on Browncross Street.
If you’re coming in by train then the closest station is Salford Central, which is just over the road from our Riverside Campus building.
Deansgate-Castlefield Metrolink station is the closest Metrolink station to the New Bailey Street Campus. It’s a 15 minute walk straight down Deansgate, past the Hilton and Great Northern on your right and past the John Rylands Library on your left. Then turn left down Bridge Street and continue until you cross the bridge and you will arrive at the New Bailey Street Campus.
Buses run down New Bailey Street with stops directly outside Futureworks. Look out for Metroshuttle buses 1, 2 and 3 as shown in the map below. Routes 1 and 2 can be accessed a stone’s throw from our New Bailey Street campus, while 3 stops directly outside our building. These city centre buses are entirely free to use.
