We hold Alumni panel discussions where graduates return to share their experiences and knowledge as professional practitioners with our current students. Read on below for a few recent examples…
Torque Studios are a BAFTA-nominated, independent games studio from Manchester formed from graduates of our BA (Hons) Games Design course, formed after winning ‘Dare To Be Digital 2014’. They specialise in the innovative use of new technology to create fun, accessible and unique game experiences. They are currently working on a new commercial project ‘Glitchrunners’.
Aaron Kara set up the video production company Accredited Skills with a group of friends in 2014 with the aim of re-inventing e-learning. They deliver social impact through instructional courses using the latest discoveries in accelerated learning.
Enos is a Finnish/Canadian sound designer and sound effects editor now based in London. His projects range from innovative indie films to high budget features, TV drama and AAA game titles. Recent clients include Red Bull, Coca Cola and feature films Sweeney and Orthodox.
Tempered Pixel Studios create breath-taking visual experiences with a client base including the BBC and ITV Studios. They have a wealth of experience from pre-visualisation and concept work, visual effects, set supervision, 2D compositing, 3D modelling and sculpting.
A gangster film, set and shot in Manchester. Retribution was directed by our Head of School for Film, TV & Media crewed by Futureworks alumni and students. This is Futurework’s first full-length feature film, screening at HOME in Manchester.
Producer, performer & musician Nick, studied at Futureworks on our Music production degree. He has been an Audio Designer at Rockstar Games in Edinburgh since 2012 and has worked on the Grand Theft Auto franchise.
Artist and illustrator Beau studied at Futureworks on our Games Design degree. He is now a Junior Artist at Hello Games since 2013 and is working on the much awaited No Man’s Sky.
Tech and Level Artist Roger (or Dodge, as he’s known) studied at Futureworks on our Games Design degree. He is now a Level Construction Designer at TT Fusion and is a regular speaker at our in-house industry events and talks.
Producer, Matt, studied at Futureworks on our Games Design degree. He is now a Junior Project Co-ordinator at TT Games and, like Dodge, comes back to speak to our students regularly.
